Here is everything you need for a single serving absinthe ritual. Just add absinthe to your glass and pour water into the dripper. The see-saw mechanism slowly adds water to your drink, drop by drop, making the perfect louch. If you need sugar, place you sugar and spoon (both included) on top of the brouilleur and pour water over the cube.
Absinthe is consumed after the slow addition of ice cold water with slow being the key. If water is added too quickly, much of the taste of an absinthe will be lost. This is the purpose of an absinthe fountain. But what if you don't have a fountain or want to mix only one or two drinks? The next best thing is a Brouilleur.
Drippers or Brouilleurs (Pronounced 'brew-yah') come in many styles and are used to slowly add water to your absinthe glass without a fountain. This type of Brouilleur is called a see-saw. It sits atop your absinthe glass straddling the rim. Iced water is added to the bowl and slowly drips through a hole onto the see-saw arm that slowly louches the absinthe below acting like a mechanised, personal fountain.
Beautiful black chrome and brushed stainless brouilleur has the perfect slow drip rate for the best tasting drink possible. Premium quality stainless steel with solid stainless legs that won't bend (Compare to brouilleurs with wire legs). When using sugar, place sugar onto an absinthe spoon (included) atop the brouilleur and pour the water over the cube.
